Reverend Catherine Lyle is serving Sandpoint United Methodist Church in Idaho and has served within three Idaho counties since 2020. She earned her M.Div. from Claremont School of Theology, M.A. in Philosophy from W.S.U. (with an emphasis in biomedical ethics) and her B.A. in Government from E.W.U. Reverend Lyle has a beautiful family beginning with her husband Kevin (best friend for 20 years) and he is a Network Engineer. They have a 9-year-old and a 6-year-old who are very active boys. They have 2 cats, 3 dogs, and a love for music and to be outdoors.
Catherine has personal experience as she was in foster care as a child due to her maternal and paternal struggles of alcoholism and mental illness. She aged out through a CHINS petition and overcame many obstacles. She was blessed to have wonderful teachers, mentors, and pastors who have supported and encouraged her. Catherine believes the village and community are crucial and should support the most vulnerable as Jesus instructs us to. It is her hope to help others be the loving community we all long for and need.
